The True
Remember the Kodak company? In 1998, Kodak had about 160,000 employees.
And about 85% of the world's photography was done with Kodak cameras. With the rise of mobile cameras in the last few years, the Kodak camera company has gone up. Even Kodak went bankrupt and all its employees were forced to lay off.
At the same time many more famous companies were forced to stop their jumps. E.g.
HMT (watch)
BAJAJ (Scooter)
DYANORA (TV)
NOKIA (Mobile)
RAJDOOT (bike)
AMBASSADOR (car)
None of the above companies had poor quality. Yet why did these companies go up? Because they could not change themselves over time.
Standing in the present moment you may not even think how much the world could change in the next 10 years! And 70% -90% of today's jobs are going to disappear completely in the next 10 years. We are slowly entering the era of the "Fourth Industrial Revolution".
Look at today's famous companies-
Uber is just the name of a software. No, they don't have a car of their own. Yet today the world's largest taxi-hire company is Uber.
Airbnb is the largest hotel company in the world today. But the funny thing is, they don't own a single hotel in the world.
Similarly, examples of numerous companies like Paytm, Ola Cab, Oyo rooms etc. can be given.
There is no work for new lawyers in America today, because a legal software called IBM Watson can advocate much better than any new lawyer. Thus in the next 10 years about 90% of Americans will have no more jobs. The remaining 10% will survive. This 10% will be specialized.
New doctors are also sitting to go to work. Watson software can detect cancer and other diseases 4 times more accurately than humans. By 2030, computer intelligence will surpass human intelligence.
Driverless cars are going to hit the roads by 2019. By 2020, this one discovery could change the face of the world. As a result, 90% of today's cars will no longer be seen on the road in the next 10 years. Surviving cars will either run on electricity or be hybrid cars. The roads will gradually become empty. Gasoline consumption will decline and the oil-producing Arab countries will gradually go bankrupt.
If you need a car then you have to ask for a car from any software like Uber. And within a few moments of asking for a car, a completely driverless car will come and stand in front of your door. If you travel in the same car with many people, the per capita car rental will be less than the bike.
Driving without a driver will reduce the number of accidents by 99%. And that's why car insurance will stop and car insurance companies will all go up.
Things like driving will no longer survive on earth. When 90% of the vehicles disappear from the road, there will be no need for traffic police and parking staff.
Think about it, even 5-10 years ago there were STD booths at street corners. After the advent of mobile revolution in the country, all these STD booths were forced to close down. The ones that survived became mobile recharge shops. Then came the online revolution in mobile recharge. People started recharging their mobiles online from home. These recharge shops then had to be replaced again. They are now just buying and selling mobile phones and repair shops. But that too will change very soon. Mobile phone sales directly from Amazon, Flipkart are on the rise.
The definition of money is also changing. Once upon a time cash has become “plastic money” in today’s era. The era of credit cards and debit cards was a few days ago. Now that too is changing and the era of mobile wallet is coming. Paytm's booming market, money with one click of mobile.
For those who cannot change with age, age removes them from the earth. So keep changing with the era.
